Unwanted Habits at Workplace

Here are the list of 10 unwanted habits at work places. They are considered as habits of irresponsible individuals, something of which we want to be without.

1. Dirtying common areas:
There are colleagues who avoid washing their own mugs and plate. They left the sink at the pantry full with unwashed accessories. You may find your friends are dirtying the toilets, conveniently forget to flush it or left the wet tissue paper on the floor.

2. Prolonged Personal Calls
Many colleagues will not mind if you make a short 1 minute personal calls to check you children or talk to your spouses about your dinner or so forth. However, when the personal calls extended to longer periods, then they are nuisances.

3. Dressing inappropriately.
There are the written and the unwritten dress code. We often hear of cases where single girls tend to under dress and act provocatively especially towards their male counterparts

Engineers That Lead The Economic Growth

The recent American ASQ (American Society for Quality) survey placed the engineers as the unlikely group to have the chance to be at the board room or to get to the top ladder in an organisation. Less than 9% of the respondents think that engineers will succeed as a chief executive.

Despite the outcome of the survey, the fact reminds that there a a number of engineers make good at the helm of established and successful corporations. The good example of high profiled CEO with engineer degree are Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft. The other is Marry Barra, CEO of General Motors.

Looking at the making of USA, great engineers contributed to the growth of the States. We had the famous engineer such as Thomas Edison, Henry Ford and Herbert Hoover. In fact the engineers contributed tremendously to the building of the military power of Germany, USA and Japan.

Based on the experiences of other nations, it is obvious that a developing country like Malaysia will need the contribution of the engineers spearhead the economic growth of the nation.
